Help me follow the logic here. To FIS (Intl Ski Federation) it’s OK if their largest sponsor Swiss Timing (aka Longines, aka Omega) engages in fraud, criminal conspiracy, money laundering, and lying:
But it is NOT OK if an athlete engages in fraud:
You’d think FIS would ban Longines the way they have banned Vanessa Mae. Or at least hire a reputable 3rd party legal entity to conduct an investigation. But no, Longines still is the public face of FIS ski racing.
Why is this so? Probably because Vanessa Mae doesn’t buy FIS executives new Mercedes and give them suitcases full of cash.
